The 2010 SFA Awards Banquet was held November 18th at the Sizzler in Daly City. The new board was sworn in by outgoing president Matt Farley. Matt also presented the club 3D shoot awards.

There was also a special acknowledgement made for the Outreach program volunteers. They were presented with spiffy custom made sweatshirts identifying them as Outreach Instructors. Thank you to all the Outreach volunteers for all their hard work. Our Club gets a lot of good will, great public relations, and new members through all this program.

Tim Lum got a lesson using an atlatl recently at the range. This image below shows Tim using the 500BC weapon and a video that his instructor, Mark Dellinges has posted on YouTube. An Atlatl is a throwing spear, there are some states that allow hunting with this weapon. Looks like fun!

There is a new website called bowshooter.com created by Tom Incopero of South Lake Tahoe. Here's the note from Tom to our members: Please check out my new interactive bow shooter web site. You can post your clubs events. Have a link to your web site, free classifieds, Chat with member across the US. There are video’s. There are many features your club and members may use. This site is FREE to use. Please tell your members about the site. So just click on the site above, take a look and let me know what you and your members think.

Looks like a great resource for archers and hunters as well. Check it out.

Our members understand that it's a burden, but well worth the effort...to make a nice bow rack!
